CONTROL SYSTEM FOR GAS REGULATION STATIONS

About Technology
The underground gas storage reservoirs are used for seasonal storage of natural gas. Actual space for storage is either in a mined-out natural deposit of the gas or in a geologically suitable area. The premises of the reservoirs is extensive in terms of its area, the distances between the individual plants amounts up to several
kilometres. A centre contains technological equipment for purifying, drying and heating the gas and for regulating the amount and pressure of the gas. At each centre the connection from the
The control system was designed with regard to the functionality in space arangement of the technology. Network topology corresponds to multilevel distributed control system which consists of field RTUs and operator station.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR GAS REGULATION STATIONS

DISTRIBUTED TELEMETRIC SYSTEM FOR DATA MONITORING SUPERVISION AND CONTROL OF GAS REGULATION STATIONS (SOUTH MORAVIA, CZECH REPUBLIC)
About Technology
The gas distribution system consists of a very-high-presure transit system (VVTL) from vhich the gas is suplied to the high-pressure (VTL) and medium-presure distribution
systems.
The stations usually contain equipment for actual gas pressure reduction, safety closures operating autonomously when the pressure drops below, filtres for gas purification, gas closures, equipment for heating the gas, for measuring the pressure ant the temperature of the
gas.
Dispatcher system ensure the folowing functions:
- continuous monitoring of the distribution network and display the current situation
- possibility of remote control
- archiving the data obtained from measurements and their use for further processing particularly by database system
