The UniControls Group has consolidated its position on foreign markets and enters the new year with a new visual identity and new logos

The UniControls Group that consists of the parent company UniControls a.s. and the subsidiaries UniControls – Tramex s.r.o. and ZPA Industry a.s. enters the new year with a new visual identity and it will present new integrated logos of all the three companies. The logo of the parent company UniControls is changed on 1 January 2018 and the logos of the subsidiaries will follow in the 1st and 2nd quarters.

The rebranding in the 1st quarter will also include launching of a new web UniControls.cz which will be more modern and user friendly and, along with the new logo, it is expected to support long-term and systematic development of the successful UniControls Group, as a top supplier of control systems and electronic equipment for railway transport and industrial control. The author of our new visual identity and website is the advertising agency No comment! that has been selected in a closed internal selection procedure.

The change of our logo and the new visual identity reflect the fact that our group is continually developing and prospering. We focus on foreign markets where we have succeeded, we are consolidating our position and we want to present ourselves in a uniform manner. Within our internal structure we are now more and more concentrating on utilization of synergies between the individual companies with the objective to become an efficiently functioning group with a uniform face towards our customers, shareholders and employees. I believe that our new visual identity with new logos expressing affiliation with our group will help us to develop and to expand on new markets,“ says Antonín Felber, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of UniControls a.s.

The orientation on foreign markets has been successful
UniControls has also succeeded on the Chinese market to which it is provides supplies for all types of rolling stock, e.g. for a new generation of subway carriages. The world´s biggest manufacturer of rolling stock – the Chinese company CRRC and its plant CRRC TRV based in Tangshan – is now developing a new generation of subway trains. Based on a contract concluded this autumn the train will use the TCMSe system (Train Control and Monitoring System based on Ethernet) manufactured by UniControls. The successful UniControls product DISPL-1 (Multi-application Display Unit ) is currently used in many trains in Central Europe but also in more harsh conditions , e.g. in Argentina (diesel motor units - DMU) or in Kolkata in India (subway carriages).

Late in 2017 the company concluded a contract for a supply of the control and information system TCMS for light railway vehicles (LRV) for the Chinese seaport city of Dalian. The train is manufactured by the Chinese company CRRC DLRC (Dalian Locomotive & Rolling Stock Company). Also in 2017, test operation started of new subway trains in the Chinese city of Zhuhai. The trains were again made by the Chinese company CRRC DLRC and they are equipped with the TCMS system made by UniControls.

Our long-term major customers include e.g. Alstom, ÖBB, CAF and Škoda Transportation and we have started interesting new partnerships e.g. with Siemens or the Iranian company Asarad, which operates on the local railway market in the field of wireless data communication and software applications and we are now working together with them on preparation of several projects,“ adds Irena Nebeská, Sales Director of UniControls a.s.
