TRAIN COMMUNICATION NETWORK - TCN
IEC 61375-1
TCN interconnects programmable equipment in rail vehicles for the support of: traction and vehicle control (remote control, doors, lights.....) remote diagnostics and maintenance passenger information.
Two level hierarchy:
- Higher level "WTB" - Wire Train Bus - Communication between Vehicles
- Lower level "MVB" - Multifuctional Vehicle Bus - Communication in Vehicle
Detail information - project ROSIN.
Note: Except the standard mentioned above different communication protocols are used on lower level of hierarchy. For example in US LON protocol is proposed, CAN in different applications is
used.
